As part of Goshen Global Vision’s objectives to develop conservation skills in the youth and make them environmental stewards as part of food security initiatives, we have established climate smart school vegetable gardens in Takoradi Secondary School, Tessark International and Ahenemma International school with funding from the United States Forest Service. We hope to scale up to other schools with our new project “1 school, 1 garden 1 rabbitry farm”, please watch this space!
In Ghana, agriculture is rain-fed and we are just entering the dry season. Therefore, in order to ensure students of Tadisco see agriculture as an agripreneur instead of punishment, Goshen Global Vision has donated a water pumping machine to the school to prevent them from carrying buckets of water to water their gardens.
