Earlier this year, GGV in collaboration with the Forestry Commission of Ghana and with support from One Tree Planted, nursed and distributed 10 thousand native tree species like emire, ofram, mahogany, cedrela, prekese and fruit trees that were planted in the #forestreserves and #offreserves in the Western Region to restore the biodiversity of the area.
We promised to scale up and so we have nursed additional 50,000 native species in the 2 nursery sites of the commission to be planted in the forest reserves and off reserves in the Western Region of Ghana. These nurseries are being taken care of by the #youthinafforestation, these are people we have built their capacity in nursery management.
