GGV with support from United States Forest organized its maiden fruit grafting and budding training for some selected persons in Sekondi Takoradi. The training saw a total of eleven (11) agricultural enthusiast participants, four (4) females and seven (7) males between 18 to 40 years from different electoral areas in STMA and EKMA. These are people that GGV is assisting after the training to have a fruit grafting business as a source of livelihood.
The Director of Agriculture EKMA as part of our collaboration, recommended a fruit grafting and budding expect, Mr. James Alamboaba Awanzam, Chief technical officer from the Crop Research Institute in Kumasi. The consultant brought 15 each of mango, citrus, and avocado for practical individual hands-on training.
