Greening Sekondi Takoradi TWIN CITY is a USFS funded project aimed at planting trees and ornamentals to beautify and green the city. Goshen Global Vision in 2021, has planted over 7,000 tree seedlings within the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly, Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly, and SHAMA District Assembly.
It is important that mapping and monitoring activities are done from time to time to ensure a high survival rate in the growth of the trees,
A three-day mapping and monitoring activity was done from 1st to 3rd of November, 2021. This was done in collaboration with EKMA electoral area Assembly members, teachers, Urban Forestry Volunteers, SHAMA District NADMO officers, and GES officials as well as a GIS specialist from HEN Mpoano, a sister organization who led the spatial data collection.
