Cocoa trees in shaded farms are mostly exposed to less damage from floods, storms, heat stress, intensive rainfall, and pest. #climatechange decreases the viability of produce and its quality. It has become pressingly vital for cocoa farmers to diversify their income. GGV and its donor partner together with Ghana Cocoa Board through the #communityreafforestationproject has nursed 100,000 native and economic tree species in the Western Region of Ghana. Cocoa farmers in the Western Region of Ghana had the privilege of lifting both Cocoa seedlings as well as the Native and Economic Tree seedlings.
