Goshen Global Vision (GGV) is a local non-governmental organization (NGO) partnering with United States Forest Service International Program (USFS-IP) to follow-up on the activities of the Coastal Sustainable Landscapes Project (CSLP) which was funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by the United States Forest Service International Program (USFS-IP) Â which provided all the technical capacity and assistance for the successful implementation between October 2013 and October 2018.
The vision of GGV is to have “Enhanced livelihoods in communities through the six coastal districts’ conscious, collective management of the environment and networking to empower the youth, poor and vulnerable especially women and children.
70,000 trees have been restored to the landscapes through planting and natural regenerated trees.
In Collaboration with community elders, 22,500 mangroves and cassia seedlings have been replanted in more than 21 hectares of degraded mangroves areas.
85 Village Savings and Loans with a total of 1,900 people, more than two-thirds of whom are women with a total savings of $230,000.00. Women are feeling more empowered and have a new source of funding for their economic activities and an opportunity to taken on leadership roles.
GGV works closely with a wide range of partners and stakeholder each with unique resources and strengths – in order to deliver the best possible services. GGV also partners with companies, individuals, government institution and academic institutions.
